OSHODI MARKET WITNESSES CHRISTMAS RUSH AMIDST ECONOMIC CHALLENGES
Despite the complaints of hardship by Nigerians, Christmas shoppers besieged Oshodi market in Lagos today buying clothes and shoes for their children and wards. In a chat with Radio One, some mothers said they struggled to purchase new clothing and shoes for their little children to feel the impact of the season. While noting the realities of the economic situation in the country, some of the buyers appealed to President Bola Tinubu to reduce cost of petrol per liter as they hinged increasing cost of goods and services on high transportation fares. Some of the traders said though the influx of customers in the market does not commensurate with sales recorded at the end of the day but noted that they are still making good sales.
